BFC CARES

BFC Cares is Bengaluru Football Club’s social responsibility program, which works through community soccer clinics, awareness campaigns, and other charity events aimed at supporting the local community that has shown the club tremendous support since its inception. The program also supports the causes of HIV-affected children and animal rescue.

Marshalled by our youth and BFC Soccer Schools coaches, a typical football workshop sees less privileged children from local communities go through basic dribbling, passing and 1 v 1 drills. This is usually followed by a small-sided game where players apply the skills they have worked on, concluding with a fun quiz session at the end of the day. The club often donates footballs and jerseys to the localities in a bid to get more children involved with the sport and the club. The sessions may additionally serve as a platform for talented players who are invited to trial with the Youth Development Program’s elite squads.

This year, BFC Cares has partnered with four charitable organizations in its endeavour to give back to the community in diverse ways.

Magic Bus’s objective is to break the cycle of poverty, one child at a time. BFC Cares conducts community coaching clinics at various local grounds, “Train The Trainers” coach education programs, and facilitates ball-boy employment opportunities in the I-League.

Dream A Dream empowers children from vulnerable backgrounds by working with their closest influencers, volunteers, and the community at large. BFC Cares conducts football workshops and the children of Dream A Dream can often be seen escorting BFC players onto the pitch on match days.

Sneha Care Home provides a caring residential environment for children living with HIV. BFC Cares extends support to the organization in the form of football workshops, equipment donation, and coach education.

BFC Cares partners with the world’s largest citywide dog rescue organization, in support of the humane treatment, health, and welfare of the city’s homeless dogs. Apart from our very own blue pooch Dimi being the living mascot of the organization, BFC Cares is also associated with donation and adoption drives and other charity shows and events organized by VOSD.
