Bengaluru-based Auto-hailing App Signs One-Year Deal With Blues; Drivers Incentivised With Free Tickets To Kanteerava
Bengaluru FC, on Friday, announced that direct-to-driver Mobile App Namma Yatri had come on board as the Blues’ Official Travel Partner. The partnership will see Namma Yatri set up a zone outside the Kanteerava Stadium on matchdays, assisting hassle-free bookings for spectators, and also incentivize rickshaw drivers with tickets to select games through the course of the Indian Super League season.
“We’re really glad to be partnering with a brand that identifies as a community in Namma Yatri. As a club, we have tried to give back to the people in every way possible and in that aspect, our vision aligns well with that of the brand. I’m really keen to see the possibilities of this partnership,” said Blues’ Director of Football, Darren Caldeira.
A mobility application built with a vision to effectively empower drivers and to contribute to the Open Mobility initiative, Namma Yatri app was launched in November last year, in partnership with the Beckn Foundation, backed by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani. Through their zero-commission subscription model, Namma Yatri quickly became Bengaluru’s most preferred app for booking auto rides.
Amit Mehta, Head of Growth at Namma Yatri, commented, “We take immense pride in our association with Bengaluru FC. It’s a partnership of two beloved Bengaluru brands, each with its fervent community. Through this partnership, our goal is to unite these communities for a more profound and collaborative experience”.
As part of the partnership, the club also announced that Namma Yatri would be incentivising their top-1000 drivers with entry to watch Bengaluru FC’s Indian Super League clash against FC Goa on Wednesday, 25th of October. Namma Yatri will also reward its top select few drivers with tickets for them and their families for the rest of Bengaluru FC matches.
