League-Cum-Knockout Tournament Set To Play Out Over Next Fortnight In Bellary
U18 teams from Bengaluru FC and Dempo SC are set to face off in the opening match of the 2022 JSW Youth Cup, at the JSW Township and Inspire Institute of Sport facilities, in Bellary, on Tuesday. The tournament, set to be played out over the next 15 days in a League-cum-knockout format, will see five of India’s best Residential Academies face off for top honors.
The League stage of the tournament will see each team play the other once, with the top four advancing to take part in single-legged semifinals. Apart from the final, there will be a third-place playoff and an exhibition match between the fifth-placed team in the League and the BFC U18 side.
The Blues, led by Head Coach Sachin Badadhe, are joined by RoundGlass Punjab FC, Dempo SC, SESA FA and Reliance Foundation Young Champs in the inaugural edition of the JSW Youth Cup.
Kick-off between the Blues and Dempo SC is scheduled for 8 am on Tuesday, 15th March 2022.
