ZebPay joins As Official Crypto-Exchange Partner On One-Year Deal
Bengaluru FC, on Friday, announced that it had joined hands with Cryptocurrency Exchange brand ZebPay on a one-year deal. ZebPay has over five million users and $10 Billion in fiat transactions, and comes on board as the Blues’ Official Crypto-Exchange Partner.
“We’re very excited to partner with ZebPay, who are one of the leading brands in the cryptocurrency exchange industry. They are a brand that is growing fast, and that two of three Indians bought their first bitcoin on ZebPay shows that they are very popular. We’re looking forward to seeing this association grow over the course of the season,” said Bengaluru FC CEO, Mandar Tamhane.
Founded in 2014, ZebPay has presence in over 160 countries across the globe, and offers options to deal with cryptocurrency such as bitcoin, ether and others. With over 98% of its coin storage in cold wallets, robust internal controls and more, ZebPay is designed to keep cryptocurrency safe and its transfers secure.
On this development, Avinash Shekhar, Co-CEO, ZebPay said, “This partnership with Bengaluru FC enables us to educate sports enthusiasts of the world about the value of crypto. India’s affinity to football has been steadily rising in the past few years, and we are hoping to educate and create awareness about crypto amongst Indian sports enthusiasts. We extend our best wishes to members of Bengaluru FC and will be cheering for the team from the sidelines while bringing crypto to the mainstream.”
Raj Karkara, Chief Marketing Officer, ZebPay, said, “We want to advise Indians to learn and understand crypto’s disclaimers and risks before taking any investment decisions. Not going by what others say and ‘DYORing (Doing Your Own Research) is crucial to understand this new asset class better. That is why we feel that a passionate sport like football is the perfect place to connect with the audience and use this crypto momentum to create a positive change.”
Bengaluru FC begin their Indian Super League campaign with a clash against NorthEast United at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium, in Bambolim, on November 20, 2021.
