Six Scorers Contribute To Fourth Straight Win For Young Blues

Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC registered their fourth straight win in the Hero Sub-Junior League as they brushed aside Raman Sports Academy 6-1 in a Round Four encounter at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Yelahanka on Sunday.

Six different scorers contributed to the victory as Basudev CM (11’), Yaiphathoi Magsatabam (24′), Ashik Adhikari (24′), Gogocha Chungkham (30′), Lalhmingchhuanga (51′) and Freddy Lalruatkima (68′) got on the scoresheet for the Young Blues. Trishanth V (50’) scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the second half.

The win helped Ajay Chorge’s Young Blues complete a double over Raman Sports Academy having earlier beaten them 10-0 at Bellary back in January. The fourth win in as many games, opened up a six-point lead at the top of the Group A standings in the Bengaluru zone for the Young Blues who now sit on 12 points.

Bengaluru FC will host Football Academy of Bangalore in Bellary next on February 9.
