Chandan, Ishaan Score A Brace Each As BFC Claim Third Successive Win
Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC secured their third straight win in the Hero Sub-Junior League as they overcame Ananthapur Sports Academy 5-1 at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Yelahanka, on Friday.
The three points took Bengaluru FC’s tally to nine points as they stay atop Group-B of the Bengaluru Zone in the competition.
In another dominant show, it was top-scorer Chandan Biju who took his tally for the campaign to eight goals with an early double, striking in the 4th and 9th minute, before Pranith Gari pulled one back for Ananthapur Sports Academy in the 11th.
Yodhin Rishayk (13’) restored the two-goal cushion in two minutes, before Ishaan Raghunanda increased the lead in the 32nd minute. The latter then completed his brace in the 49th minute to seal a third successive win.
Bengaluru FC will next play Raman Sports Academy away at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Yelahanka on Tuesday, March 12.
