Bekey, Alfred Bag Hat-Tricks In Young Blues Fifth Win On The Trot

Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC made it five successive wins after a thumping 14-0 victory over Sporthood FC in a Hero Junior League encounter at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Yelahanka on Wednesday.

Keeping their 100% record in the zonal phase intact, the Young Blues completed the double over Sporthood as they moved to 15 points at the top of Group A in the Bengaluru zone after five games further strengthening their bid for a spot in the final phase.

In a completely one-sided affair, it was hat-tricks from Bekey Oram (3′, 28′, 58′) and Alfred Lalroutsang (6′, 8′, 45+1′) that powered the big win. Lastborn Mawphniang (52′, 90) and Lalthangliana (81′, 87′) scored two each while Manish Chaudhary (10′), Macarton Louis Nickson (34′), Damaitphang Lyngdoh (75′) and Fredy Chawngthansanga (76′) added to the tally as Ajay Chorge’s boys secured their second biggest win of the campaign. Incidentally, their biggest was a 20-0 win over the same opponent in the opening game in Bellary.

Bengaluru FC now play Ananthapur Sports Academy at the same venue on Saturday, April 27.
