Young Blues Face Jain Academy At BFS In Bengaluru Zone Opener On Sunday
Bengaluru: Bengaluru Football Club have announced a completely city-based squad for the upcoming edition of the Hero Sub-Junior League which kicks off at the Bengaluru Football Stadium, on Sunday.
The Young Blues who are placed in Group B of the Bengaluru Zone will host Jain Academy Sports Excellence in the opener on Sunday. Boca Juniors SC, Raman Sports Academy and Ananthapur Sports Academy are the other three teams in the group and the Young Blues will face them in a home-and-away round-robin format.
The club has always worked in bringing players up through the player-pyramid and the squad which was announced on Saturday includes as many as seven players who were part of the team last year which competed in what was known as U13 Youth League then. These include, Joshua Wilson, Arjun Dintakurti, Sahrudai Vaddi, Hridaya Vinay Jain, Aditya Kalasur, Chandan Biju and Ayush Goel.
Delhi Public School East will have the maximum representation in the squad with six players while Greenwood High International follows with three. Baldwin Boys High School, Clarence High School, Ebenezer International School, Head Start Educational Academy, Sri Narayana School, Stonehill International School and VIBGYOR High Electronic City have one player each in the squad.
