Lalthangliana Strikes Three As Nine BFC Players Score In 11-0 Win Over Ananthapur SA
Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC sealed a place in the final phase of the Hero Junior League in style with a dominant 11-0 over Ananthapur Sports Academy at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Yelahanka, on Saturday.
The win was the Young Blues’ sixth in a row in Group A of the Bengaluru zone as they took their tally to 18 points. An unassailable five point lead at the top of the table means Ajay Chorge’s boys will finish first irrespective of the results in their last two games.
In what was another dominant show, a total of nine players got on the scoresheet for the Young Blues who took their tally to 71 goals in the competition. Lalthangliana (34′, 37′, 66′) bagged a hat-trick on the night while Lastborn Mawphniang (14′), Damaitphang Lyngdoh (30′), Rakesh Meitei (40′), Manish Chaudhary (44′), Sonminthang Haokip (67′), Alfred Lalroutsang (81′), Dhanraj Y (90+2′) and Fredy Chawngthansanga (90+4′) all found the back of the net against a hapless Ananthapur defence.
Bengaluru FC will now play Bangalore Youth Football League at the same venue on Monday, April 29.
