The Boss Analyses A Tough Result In Delhi…

On his analysis of the game…

We have to face these kind of results some times. Of course, we never underestimated Delhi, and we were aware that it would be difficult to win today. But that’s football. We didn’t have a good game and some of our players weren’t comfortable on the pitch. It’s a lesson for us that going forward, we need to be better.

On the weather’s impact in Delhi…

I can’t complain about the weather when my team is losing. These aren’t the circumstances that have impacted the result. May be we weren’t comfortable, because the other team was also doing well. I think the last three games that Delhi have played, they have improved a lot.

On the hectic schedule and squad rotation…

It’s something that we can’t complain about as everyone plays after 4, 5, 6 or 7 days. We are also playing another competition in AFC Cup which comes between the ISL games, so I have to utilize my entire squad so that hopefully there’s no issues with any injuries. Udanta had some niggle since the last two games and he wasn’t feeling that great. He wasn’t in a good shape to play, mentally as well, so we didn’t risk him.

On Subhasish’s sending off…

I was very far away from what happened, and it was a bit confusing. I think the referee was too far from the action, and maybe he could have taken his assistant’s help. But everything went wrong for us today. As of now, Subhasish is suspended, but we will appeal the decision after reviewing the situation.
