Day Four Sees Six Hat-Tricks As Goals Galore

Bengaluru: A total of 56 goals were scored across eight matches as the Under-14 category kicked off in the BOOST BFC Inter School Soccer Shield at the Bangalore Football Stadium, on Saturday.

Playing in an 11-a-side format, Inventure Academy and DPS East opened proceedings on Day 4 with identical 6-0 wins followed by St. Joseph’s and Lovedale Central School’s 6-1 victories. However, the biggest win of the day was sealed by Greenwood High School who hammered Ryan CBSE 14-0 in a completely one-sided affair.

The massive win was powered by a four goal effort from Arush Bedi, and a hat-trick from Suman Dev. Five more youngsters got on to the scoresheet to complete the rout after Ryan CBSE had netted an own goal.

Joining Arush and Suman were DPS East’s Shreyas Khethkar, St. Joseph’s Neal Joseph and Kean PS, and Baldwins’ Widam Dibou who all netted trebles on Day 4.
