Bengaluru: Three goals, each one of them in the first half, saw Bengaluru FC’s U15 Academy seal a comfortable 3-0 win over Stadium Sports Foundation, in the final game of the Bengaluru Zone, to progress to the final round of the U15 Youth League at the Bangalore Football Stadium, on Wednesday.

After dominating majority of the proceedings, midfielder Shresth Joshi finally broke the deadlock in the first half with a 30-yard screamer in the 25th minute. Defender Manish Chaudhary then doubled the advantage with a calm finish inside the box in the 37th minute before Saikat Das (45+1’) made it three in first half injury time.

The Blue Colts continued to camp in the rival half during the second period, but couldn’t break down SSF’s stubborn backline as they managed to defend deep and avoid further damage.

The win took Bengaluru FC’s tally to 25 points at the end of the group stage as they finished in 2nd place behind Ozone FC (28 pts) in the Bengaluru Zone, qualifying for the next phase.
