Isak Strikes Six As Bengaluru Move Atop U18 Y-League Zonal Standings
Chennai: Bengaluru FC built on their impressive start to the campaign, stretching their winning run to four games in the U18 Youth League with a big 16-2 win over Raman Vijayan Soccer School at the MVM School Ground in Chennai, on Tuesday.
Having gone down to Ganesan’s first minute goal, the Blue Colts’ turned the tie around to log their biggest win of the season through a six-goal effort from Isak Vanlalruatfela (2′, 11′, 35′, 44′, 45+1′, 71′) and a Ragav Gupta (9′, 25′, 82′) hattrick. Joining them on the scoresheet were B. Lalnuntluanga (3′, 29′), Lalengzama Vangchhia (41′, 49′) and Manbhakupar Lawphniaw (63′, 70′) who chipped in with braces while Lalrintluanga Chawnglut (90′) completed the rout with a goal in the final minute of the game. Ganesan scored a second for RVSS in the 59th minute to reduce the deficit.
The win took Bengaluru’s tally to 12 points as they leapfrogged Chennaiyin FC into the top spot of the Chennai-Karnataka Zone after four rounds.
