As for us, we have been creating a lot of chances but unfortunately the results have not gone our way. Perhaps today, we will get that win we have deserved all this while. East Bengal have a very good set of players and have scored a lot of goals in the previous games. You can never say it will be easier without one player, as another will always step up and so we have to plan to play in such a way that any form of attack is closed down early and negated.
We have suffered a lot of injuries to our defence and are yet waiting for them to recover such as John Johnson, who is very important to our backline. There is no point complaining over people who are missing. We have a very capable set of players in the squad who are more than talented enough to do the job.

It is true that we started with Sunil Chhetri on the left and we were scoring a lot of goals in all those games. But he has been able to score even when playing in a central role and that shows how talented he is. We are yet to find a balance in the squad and discover the most efficient side that will create a lot of chances to score a lot of goals. It is an ongoing process that will certainly take time and keep changing in every game. My aim now is to make sure we pick the right squad to face East Bengal and get the job done.

East Bengal was our first away game of the season and honestly it was the game from which our performances went the wrong way. John Johnson was playing with an injury and we, as a team, made a few mistakes that cost us.
Results have not gone our way since that game, but that is the past and we must look forward. There is no time to sit and complain about the way things have happened. We are a good side and there have been occasions where we deserved to win, and today we are presented with another opportunity to recover from our slump.
