Big Win Sends BFC To Top Of Chennai-Karnataka Zone
Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC stamped their authority in the Chennai-Karnataka Zone as they crushed Ozone FC 7-0 in a second-round encounter of the U18 Youth League at the FSV arena in Hennur on Wednesday. Having earlier defeated Raman Vijayan Soccer School 9-1 in the opener, the Blue Colts raced to their second successive win.
In a show of complete dominance, the Blue Colts took the lead in the 32nd minute through Amal Das before B. Lalnuntluanga doubled the advantage in the 42nd minute. BFC took their 2-0 lead into the breather.
Meanwhile, hosts Ozone FC were reduced to ten men after Gurmeet Singh was sent off for a second bookable offense right at the start of the second half, and the Blue Colts made their one-man advantage count, pummeling five more goals in the to register a massive win. Ajay Chettri (56′), Kishori (62′), Lalengzama Vangchhia (76′, 90+1′) and Lalnuntluanga (88′) made sure BFC moved 3 points clear at the top of the Chennai-Karnataka zone standings.
