Blue Colts Suffer First Defeat Of U15 Youth League
Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC Colts went down fighting 0-1 to Ozone FA in a Round-4 encounter of the U15 Youth League at the FSV Arena in Hennur on Thursday.
Coming into the game on the back of three successive wins, the Blue colts were done in by a first half goal by Harpreet Rulbir (45+1st minute), the first one they conceded in four games so far. The defeat meant Bengaluru FC stay second in the standings with 9 points while Ozone FA lead the table with 15 points from five games.
While it was an even affair in the first half, a defensive error caused by miscommunication in the BFC back four during the first minute of injury time, allowed Ozone’s Harpreet to lose his marker and place the ball past Dipesh Chauhan in the Bengaluru FC goal.
The Blue Colts fought back hard and almost pulled level in the 70th minute, only for striker Saikat Das to squander the opportunity after a brilliant cross in by Aryan Sonowal from the right flank.
