Synopsis

The Blues showed character to claim a 2-1 win over Mohun Bagan in their opening fixture of the 2017 AFC Cup, at the Kanteerava Stadium. A Katsumi Yusa penalty had given the Mariners a first half lead but goals from Sandesh Jhingan and Sunil Chhetri, both from set-pieces, saw the Albert Roca side pull back a win and three points.
